Story #9 (Aug 21)

A Clean Short Story

OK, so this is a tell about myself and now that I look back on it, it was funny.

Carol and I were living in Taylor, Michigan and on occasion we would visit my sister and brother-in-law down in Columbus, Ohio. It was a long drive that took around four hours, traffic permitting.

My sister would insist that we take their bedroom as it had an attached bathroom and they would sleep in a second bedroom.

I would normally take my shaving and toiletries kit, but on this trip, we were in a hurry, and I had forgot. So, I used what was available in their bathroom.

I had gotten into the shower and used their soap and was looking around for some shampoo. Didn't see any and noticed this device with a bottle in it hanging from the showerhead.

Must be a new way to store shampoo I thought. I didn't have my glasses on and tried to read the small print on the unit. Couldn't see very well and saw a button on the front. So, I put my hand under it and pushed the button. It started a low buzzing sound and started to rotate. On the third rotation it started to spray and I could smell Bleach. Thankful the unit was low and it didn't get in my eyes, I quickly grabbed the washcloth and put it over the nozzle. When it finished, I took another shower to rid myself of the bleach.

I was a bit embarrassed to admit my stupidity, but they all laughed when I told them what I had done.

Darn the new fang dangled contraptions anyway
